The Baltimore Women's Writing Center (BWWC) offers topic-driven workshops, groups, and retreats on issues that inform our lives. We are based in the Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center, the oldest and largest holistic healing center in the mid-Atlantic. Ruscombe is home to more than 30 certified, licensed holistic professionals in private practice.
The BWWC's offerings include journaling, therapeutic writing, creative writing, business writing, artmaking techniques, and more. All women are welcome, regardless of age, ethnicity, educational level, or economic background. No writing experience is required for most offerings.
The BWWC was established to create space for women to come together to write about our lives. From our own experiences, we know that writing can be a powerful tool for self-knowledge and empowerment. We believe in the infinite capacity of women and the infinite possibilities for our lives in the 21st century. Please join us in exploring the transformative power of words.

About the BWWC
The Baltimore Women’s Writing Center was established to provide a safe and compassionate place where individuals, women in particular, can come to write about their lives. All are welcome, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, educational level, sexual preference, or economic background. No writing experience is required for most offerings.
Through writing groups, workshops, and retreats that focus on the power of words, the BWWC serves the creative, personal growth, and healing needs of individuals. It is through our words that the stories of our lives and their meaning unfold: the stories of who we are, who we believe we can become, what we believe we can create. We write the stories of our bodies, our families, our work, our communities, and our worlds. If we don’t write our lives, who will?
Our offerings are as diverse as the women we serve. Here are just a few of our areas of interest:
